Hall of Fame Award
Established in 1980 to honor individuals whose outstanding dedication and contribution to photography have been an inspiration to those who follow. Any individual who is 65 or older and living is eligible. Award may be given posthumously. Email nominations to Awards Chairman.
Paul Kennedy Award
Established in 1981 to be given for “Outstanding Service to the Profession.” There were only 25 medallions made and all have been awarded.
Barry Evans--Elmer Kingham Award
Established in 2001 to replace the Paul Kennedy Award. It continues the award for “Outstanding Service to the Profession” and is the highest award given by the Professional Photographers of California. Only 25 of these awards have been made. Email nominations to Awards Chairman.
Carlos Lozano Mentor of the Year Award
This award was recently created in 2008. The Mentor Award is given out to the photographer(s) who helps others learn and mentor others to become better in the business and art of photography.
It is not necessarily given out each year but only when someone stands our and should be recognized for their efforts. A mentor is a wise and trusted counselor or teacher.
This Award is given by the PPC Board. Recipient(s) must have received the Service Award and have been a PPC Member for 5 years previous to the award.
