Barry Evans--Elmer Kingham Award

Carlos Lozano Mentor of the Year Award
This award was recently created in 2008. The Mentor Award is given out to the photographer(s) who helps others learn and mentor others to become better in the business and art of photography.

It is not necessarily given out each year but only when someone stands our and should be recognized for their efforts. A mentor is a wise and trusted counselor or teacher.

This Award is given by the PPC Board. Recipient(s) must have received the Service Award and have been a PPC Member for 5 years previous to the award.

People's Choice Award
This award is presented to an image on display in the image competition section receiving the most ballots during the Pro Photo Expo convention. This is a unique award as it has nothing to do with judges likes and dislikes. It is voted on by members and the general public viewing the images. A true people’s choice award.

This prestigious award was founded, and is still sponsored, by Glen and Robin Clark in 1989 and there are only 25 medals available, twenty-one of which have already been awarded.

Glen and Robin felt there should be an award available for members of the Professional Photographers of California that was selected solely by the membership and general public. Glen has been a member of California for over twenty years. Five people have been awarded the medal twice!

The National Award
